I feel that doing small acts for the environment are stepping stones to save the planet. I love fashion, but I don’t want to influence others to contribute to fast fashion, an industry that negatively impacts the environment. This page is to show you that you can be stylish without contributing to the landfill.

His mission is to prove to others that you don’t have to be a hero to save the planet. Through his videos, I learned about greenwashing and environmental certifications.
Also a Texas resident, she introduces the concept of eco-minimalism and practical swaps to live a more sustainable lifestyle.
My current efforts
Multipurpose Clothing
I’m a fan of a product that serves multiple functions. A dress can be worn on its own, but could also be tucked into a pair of pants or you can put a shirt on top, so the dress becomes a skirt. You’re less likely to shop when you can be innovative with what you have in your closet.
Secondhand + Shopping Less
A fair amount of clothes and accessories in my closet are hand-me-downs from my generous mom and her friends. I also like to buy closet staples from online stores like ThredUp and Poshmark.
Donation + Sales
When I clean out my closet, I usually give the clothes to different families that live in impoverished countries. I also have tried to make coin with my community’s garage sales.
Brand Ambassador
Currently, I am promoting products that are sustainable and ethical. I would like to keep it that way. You can find those organizations at the bottom of the page.
Education
I’m still learning about how our fashion choices and lifestyle can impact the world. I’m not always environmentally conscious, but increasing awareness is a start.
If you have clothes from fast fashion brands, do not get rid of them… Give your clothes and the works that made them the respect they deserve…continue to value them until they’re worn out.

ThredUp
The world’s largest online thrift store, where you can find secondhand pieces and give them a new life. The key is to use filters for size and price and go in with an objective (i.e. high-rise, straight leg, Levi’s jeans).
EarthHero
It’s your one stop shop for not only sustainable closet essentials, but also household and hygiene items. It’s like Amazon, but environmentally friendly.
Levi’s Jeans
Their company is currently making efforts to reduce their carbon footprint while making durable jeans for people of most sizes. Their quality is unmatched considering you can buy them secondhand. Also by washing them less and hang drying them, you make an environmental impact (decreased water and energy usage).
BANGS Shoes
I have been an ambassador for this brand for a year. Their shoes are so comfy and made from ethically sourced materials and made ethically. Plus, a percentage of their profits fund loans to local and international entreprenuers through Kiva.org.
