Y’all. It’s the fourth week of doing this. CRAZY that it’s been ONE month since I started this series. [But then again, nobody really knew that I started this series.] Without further ado, here’s what I’ve been up to this week!
*Not all shows I mention are hyperlinked.
Styling Hollywood
Ever since I finished binging Netflix’s “Queer Eye,” I feel incomplete. Yes, there are times when I don’t feel like watching “That 70’s Show” and subpar B-rated rom-coms. I started watching this show, and I’m pacing myself because there’s only one season. Basically, it’s a reality show of JSN Designs – a comapny created by a homosexual black couple, where one specializes in celebrity styling and the other specializes in interior design. Their clients include Taraji, Sabrina Carpenter, and Gabrielle Union. Part of me wonders how much of the show is acutal reality and not scripted drama, but it’s great show to not only listen to as background noise, but also to watch. You also get an understanding of how celebrities prepare for their red capret looks. Seriously, the gowns the celebrities are styled in are just AHHHH! 😍 🤩
Lastly, this show made me appreciate and get a little understanding of #blackgirlmagic.
REALITY TV
Songland
Is this the first time I mention a on-air TV show on WIWTW? YEAH! I’ve acutally been watching this reality competition for the past three weeks. This past week’s episode had pre-shaved Charlie Puth [who’s super relevant right now more than ever, still miss those luscious locks] looking for a new song to add to his reportoire of catchy hits. The show only has 60% on Rotten Tomatoes, which isn’t bad, but this show is so unique from other regular singing competitions and deserves more attention. [Wow, a Charlite Puth-related pun.] That’s because there are new songwriters every week, making each episode different.
Bring the Funny!
It’s the new reality show picking the best comedians. I think it’s a great concept. Finally, Chrissy Teigen has more to say and do compared to “Lip Sync Battle.” There’s familiar faces who are contestants on the show like Keith from The Try Guys and the Roxy, aka Hannah Montana’s body guard. Recently, I realized that comedy shows force me to laugh. I’m only laughing because everybody in the room is laughing. This show allows me to figure out what makes me genuinely laugh and reaffirms my opinion that I have a great sense of humor.
There’s just something about televised talent competitions that make them so entertaining. It’s like you’re another judge at the table determining if the contestant is worthy of moving on to the next round. It makes sense on why America picks their favorites. The cool thing about these shows is that they’re on NBC, so you can watch all the episodes for free online! And if you don’t have time to watch the commercials, you can watch clips on their respective YouTube channels.
Art/Journaling/Notebook Videos ?
[I put a question mark because I don’t know how to categorize such things.]
Lately, I’m getting back into lettering, journaling, and stationary, so I’ve been watching some old videos from two different YouTube channels. If you didn’t check out my story, I decided to start a commonplace book as seen in Jordan Clark’s YouTube video. Additionally, I’m also watching videos from AmandaRachLee – the BUJO QUEEN. While I do use a planner, I don’t use a bullet journal because I can’t keep up with it. However, I’m slowly incorporating elements from bullet journaling into my planner. I already bought my planner for next year. Anyways, if you’re into art, stationary, notebooks, and journaling, watch their channels. They’re pretty neat!

Thanks for reading! I’ve been doing more reading myself, which means I’m spending less time on screen. [For once, I’m actually reading a book.] Make sure you’re following me on Instagram (@jordaineenriquez) and submit your email, so you can be notified when I make a new post.
As always stay tuned for another WIWTW.
